Roger’s musical adventure began in the same year he was adopted at the age of 6.  His newly acquired family blessed him with two very intelligent and loving parents - one of whose musical and teaching talents found Roger a sometimes willing musical student.  Nevertheless, his mother (aware of his natural abilities) nudged him forward “for his own good”.  Taking piano lessons took him to new levels of child endangerment, so improvisation began early on as he began to study by ear.  This slight of hand lasted only a few months being under the discerning eye of his Mother, the German School Teacher.

A different piano teacher was employed and slowly Roger was forced, bent, shaped and psychologically beaten into loving to play the piano.  Then along came the old lady who played at the local Methodist Church.  She up and died, leaving out of a town of 4000 possible people, Roger (whom you couldn’t even see from the pews because the piano and organ were taller than he was) playing Sunday services from time to time, with the jokes never seeming to end from a few of Roger’s friends.

Even with this bumpy start, a few years rolled by and Roger became aware that girls seemed to be attracted to musicians and by golly he kind of was one - even if it was the wrong instrument!  So with a few adjustments and three guitar chords and a couple of friends, a garage band was formed in the middle of the Mojave Desert playing surf music!

In 3 years funding cut short Rogers college ride, so a need to create food and shelter drove him into a Mexican rock band just south of the boarder.  Finally back on the keys but keeping it on the low down from anybody state side, including his nosey girlfriend.  SUPER MAMA played the notorious Tijuana night club scene and fair grounds from Encinitas to La Playa.  With the arrest and following conviction of half the band for drug smuggling at the boarder, Roger joined with a very talented guitarist as a duo, 3 sets a night at the Rusty Pelican, Encinitas.

The following years Roger played with many different groups from San Diego to Oregon writing and composing songs that sounded like everybody else who were writing songs at that time. 1976 found Roger living in Riverside with another talented musician roommate - Howard Amadon – a previous Leon Russel guitar player and song writer. It was not long before the ARYAN band came together performing early eighties top 40 (POP NEW WAVE).  Roger founded the band, and with it, a great chemistry with good musicians that needed a rehearsal studio - which Roger provided. Soon to follow, the rehearsal studio became a recording studio - STUDIO ONE then UPBEAT AUDIO a year or so later. Roger's next adventure found him out on tour, keeping the recording studio open and managed by Trey Stone.

While Roger toured with many famous bands, Rod Stewart, Van Halen,  Neil Diamond,  Dio, Scorpions,  Metalica,  Megadeath, Pink Floyd etc. having previous experience with explosives, he designed and produced many pyro-technical and stage effects. Roger resumed his musical career after years of touring, continued recording at UPBEAT AUDIO for a array of musical styles. Through the last ten years Roger has played on and off with many bands and solo in piano bars and upscale restaurants. Today Roger has come full circle, in good company with the Bad Company Tribute band BAD INC - back to the center of Rock & Roll.
